Description

Join us on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at Christ Church Episcopal in Norcross, GA for an hour of beginner friendly yoga with goats. The friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats from Double Durango Farm are playful and sweet. Follow along during yoga class or just sit and play with a goat. This is a fun event open to everyone ages 7 and up, even if you’ve never done yoga.

Class will be in the field behind the playground.

You’re welcome to take pictures during and after class.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

COVID-19 Safety:  Masks are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for this event.

Event Location: Christ Church Episcopal, 400 Holcomb Bridge Road, Norcross, GA 30071 (Behind the playground)

Minimum Age:  7 and up, and children should be able to mostly stay on their mat.

Rain Plan:  In case of inclement weather, the rain dates set for this event are November 13 at 11:00 am and November 14 at 2:00 pm.

CancellationsNo refunds will be given. If a cancellation is necessary, you will have a credit towards a future goat yoga class, online Zoom yoga classes, or future in-person yoga classes post-COVID.

Arrival Time:  Class begins promptly! Please arrive 20 minutes early to check in, sign a waiver and set up your mat.

Yoga Mats: You are welcome to bring your own, or you can rent a mat for $5 (since goats love to nibble mats). Cash is easiest, although PayPal and Venmo work too. This fee will be paid on the day of the event.

Other Items to Bring/Clothing:  Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty or a goat nibbling. T-shirts work better than tank tops to avoid scratched skin. Consider braiding long hair or wearing a ponytail or bun. You can bring water. Sunscreen and bug spray might be necessary, and your phone can be used for taking pictures.

What Not to Bring: Leave the jewelry at home since goats like it and want to eat it. Do not bring food or pets.

Goat Accidents: It does occasionally happen, but goat poop are pellets which brush away easily. We will have wipes on hand “just in case” plus you can bring a small towel.
